From humble beginnings in the Dominican Republic and Washington Heights, Benny Lorenzo earned scholarships to Cornell University and Harvard Business School. He leveraged these opportunities to rise through the ranks at two Fortune 500 companies, manage a hedge fund portfolio in Greenwich, CT. and serve as Chairman & CEO of a boutique investment bank.
In 1996, Benny founded Aspira Capital Management Fund I. Over the next 25 years, he led the fund to a 22% average rate of return. Benny and his team launched a new early-stage venture fund as a proof of concept in 2021. Now they are launching Aspira Capital Fund II as a platform where they can share their knowledge and expertise with other underserved founders.
